Thank you for the great advice about backpack safety. Parents, please remind your child of the importance of good posture and if your child has had a fall, plays contact sports, or complains about neck or back pain, please consult with a Chiropractor. It can make such a world of difference to your child’s health.

WOW! It hurts to think your neck was like Swiss Cheese - is that osteoporosis? How did you fix that? Good for you for getting some of the curvature back! I think my Military Neck is terminal! I've been getting adjusted since age 5, thank god! I can't imagine what shape I'd be in now if I hadn't! but it must be the ghost of my Mom praisng my straight back that keeps it locked! Glad you are blogging! I will be looking for tips on how to strengthen abs w/o hurting my neck and other vital signs. Got any tips for minimzing bursitis of the hip?

Funny, I was thinking of clay when I wrote it, but my only experience with clay was with play-doh, which can't be remolded once it hardens, or maybe I was doing it wrong..

I'm not sure "plastic" is the word you want - I believe that plasticity refers to a change in shape that is permanent. But it's not really "elastic" that you want either; that implies a lack of firmness. I' m thinking you might want a metaphor like clay, which is moldable but can harden; then it can soften and re-mold?

It's "spiel" -- but capitalized in German. And, it means "game" as in Das Glasperlenspiel" (Hesse's Glass Bead Game, though it is sometimes called Magister Ludi in English translations -- though why a Latin title works better for English speakers I've never been able to figure out!)
